The main point being, he's the only Republican candidate I know of who has opposed the Iraq war from the very beginning...which is more than can be said for most of the Democrats, even...
There are other reasons to support him, naturally, and I don't think he has much of a chance, but it sure beats the hell out of a McCain or Guiliani coronation.

his oposition to the war is something i think honest non-interventionists can debate.
i supported the war as necesary to defend the homeland, although i beileve it was previous interventions that made the threat plausible.
as a noninterventionist, his opposition does carry with it a weight of authority that other opponents can not claim.
