Why wouldn't you want McCain as president? I confess to liking Obama, but Cato has shown pretty conclusively that a divided government is our best hope for gridlock. And the Dems have Congress locked up.
I'm more worried about our foreign policy than marginal differences in economic policy.
Also, I don't think a the divided gov't theory works as well with a Dem congress and a GOP president as it did the other way around. (It certainly hasn't for the last 15 months.) Mostly because Reps can't bring themselves to spend less on the military and Dems can't bring themselves to spend less on anything...
